About Us

Tarbolton Community Council is a voluntary organisation made up of local residents, each with a genuine interest in the community. Their main role is to be representative through consultation with the local community, and make it known to the local authority and other public bodies the views of local people on all matters affecting them.

Community Council members serve on the council for a period of three years and the Officers are elected annually. Meetings are open for public attendance, with full minutes published for public consideration. The Community Council encourages anyone with any local concerns, issues or information to get in touch via the Contact Form on the website, email us at [email protected] or attend any of the monthly meetings to discuss in person.

Our Mission

The purpose of the Tarbolton Community Council is to act as the grass roots of local democracy in an open manner accessible to all. We will work and liaise with other agencies and community groups in the area for the benefit of all in the community. We will help develop services that meet local needs through giving moral and financial support to local facilities and initiatives. We will help preserve, develop, and enhance the identity and environment of the area and will continue to be proactive in providing new services as well as reactive in resolving community concerns.
